PUPPIES TWO WEEKS OLD, EYES OPEN AND WALKING

Two weeks go by really fast.  The puppies are growing so much.  Its fun to see them get bigger and see their colors start to change.  Several of them are starting to go darker and roan.  We see ticking on some of the legs and we can now see their eyes.
Today we received two more deposits from Rich, and Emelia  and Josh.  Congrats!  Thanks for picking our puppies.  Its so nice to know they are all going to good homes.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY 10 PUPPIES!!!!

If you want to have some happy kids, try giving them 10 puppies .

Happy Mothers Day!!

Our beautiful dog Sage finally had puppies.  5 males and 5 females and did she ever deliver some handsome puppies.  3 solid liver, 1 solid black, 2 heavy black patch and white and 4 liver and white.  Mom did a wonderful job with the deliver.  If you have never seen the birth of puppies you have missed out.  As each puppy is born Mom cleans them off, removes the umbilical cord and eats the placenta.  Immediately the puppies crawl up to Mom and begin eating.  Once you get past what mom has to eat its a wonderful thing to see.
Once you see the pups you start looking at their markings and I must say this litter has a little bit of everything and then some.  I couldn't be more pleased.  These pups are so unique, the patches on most of them are very large.  We expect lots of them to roan  and look really awesome.

Awesome looking dogs. Anyone who takes one of these pups home can be sure that not only are they going to have a great hunting companion but they are going to have one of the best looking shorthairs you will find anywhere.
I'm really pleased with how good of a mother  Sage is. She is so attentive to every little need of  her babies.

Yesterday we had their tails docked and dew claws removed.  It was a hard day on all of us.  Sage was wondering why we took her puppies away, the puppies were wondering why Mom was gone and we all felt guilty for what was about to happen to them.  Anyone who says that puppies don't feel it are wrong.  We had them all whimpering for about 8 hours after the procedure, what a sad sound to hear.  Today the crying is gone and all seem to be back to normal.

Keep on eye on my blog and I will keep updating the pictures so we can all see them grow and change.  If you are interesting in purchasing one of these pups check out my adds and get with me.
