PUPPIES THREE WEEKS OLD

PUPPIES THREE
WEEK OLD!

BLACK FEMALE
Three weeks have come and gone and we have gone from these cute little things to having 10 beautiful puppies.  They are so fun, they are playing with each other now, they bark and growl at each other and are so much fun.  Lots has happened in the past 3 weeks.  As you can see they have their tails docked and dew claws removed.  They are now starting to eat puppy food.  They are beginning to get their personalities.
We are pleased to see that we have had lots of people looking at them and showing lots of interest.  So far we have deposits from North Carolina, South Dakota, Idaho, Utah and I've had calls from California and several other States.  If you want a great hunting companion with proven blood lines  you should take a serious look at these pups.

New puppies July 7th 2016

PUPPIES!!!!

10 beautiful puppies came and joined our lives today!  How happy we are to see that Sage did so well.  We have 6 boys, 4 girls.  1 black, 2 black and white, 4 liver, 3 white and liver.  I am very happy with what we got.  The phone has started to ring and I'm sure we will be getting  puppy deposits very soon.   One person from North Carolina has already mailed me his deposit.

For those of you who are looking at my blog for the first time here is some info about Mom and Dad and some pics of what you can expect to see these pups to look like in the near future.

Father Hank

Look at his style
Hank is a stunning stud dog.  Just check out his style.  I was first turned onto him by my friend Kelly.  Kelly told me if I ever had Sage breed again that Hank is the Stud dog I was looking for.  I did my homework and soon got to know Hanks owner John.  John has been awesome to work with and I soon found out just how serious a dog owner and breeder John is.  John is working on getting Hank his Master hunter title.  He has done an impress job with his training.  Here is some info that John gave me about Hank.

Hank is owned & trained by Jon Hafen. He is dual registered with both AKC & NAVHDA. This dog has a great disposition & high intelligence. He learns fast, & maintains what he learns, thus being very biddable & easy to train. Hank is all business when he hunts birds! He points & holds steady with extreme style, & follows up with flawless retrieves from both land & water. Hank has tons of hunting experience on chukar, grouse, pheasant & waterfowl. NAVHDA titled with a prize 1 Natural Ability, & also OFA hips certified. With extremely impressive bloodlines, both his mom & dad are AKC Master Hunters. Some of his dad's accomplishments also include:
- AKC National Gun Dog Champion
- AKC Field Champion
- AKC Amateur Field Champion &
- Many other 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place wins at individual field trials in & out of state.
Solid pedigree worth checking out:

Great pedigrees on both parents. Sage the mothers pedigree shows that 5 of 6 parents and grandparents are versatile champions in the Navda side. Her hips are OFA certified and she is registered in AKC and NAVHDA. She scored a 106 and prize two in natural ability test as a pup.

I expect these pups to look similar to some of these that we had 3 years ago.  Let me know if you have any questions.

5 weeks old and everyone makes their pick

Congrats Kirk to you and your family.  This black roan female is going to grow to be beautiful!

Saturday was the 5 weeks old and time for our new puppy owners to make their picks.  Saturday was a very wet rainy day so we had to keep everyone in the garage but it still worked our great. Our new families where so happy to come and see how much their puppies have grown and to start to see some of their personality.  We appreciate everyone driving and coming to see these pups, some had to drive several hours to make the trip. Amy and I did our best to keep the puppies awake and lively but its not always easy to do that.  Our biggest fear was that we would have our new puppy owners come and have 6 tired rag doll puppies here to greet them.  The pups did get tired but for the most part they where ready for the challenge.  It was a very great and fun day!!

Craig was so excited to get this black and roan female
This is one lucky puppy
Clayton and his 3 boys where so happy that they got the only male.
When he showed up he said all he wanted was the black male and guess what they got
Josh and his family are so happy to be taking home this solid black female.
We can't wait to see what she grows to look like in the next year
This is the only  male look at the little bit of white
left on his chin.  I hope it stays
Paul had the last pick but was excited to see that there was still a solid liver female
left for him when he got here to see what he got.

We forgot to get a picture of Chad and Erin with their beautiful solid liver female.  Erin was so excited to get her.  The hardest part of her day was trying to decide what puppy she wanted.

Next week the puppies will go and get their shots and get a physical from our local veterinarian.  Before you know it all these families will be adding a new member to their family and our lives will be a little easier and quieter but a bit more lonely.  Its fun having puppies.

Thanks for looking

What a difference 4 weeks makes!

I can't believe it has been 4 weeks. You can almost see the growth of the puppies daily.  I will give you one example.  Yesterday was the first day we introduced the pups to the outside world.  They didn't like it much and before long they were crying and making lots of noise about not liking it.  We took them inside and instantly they settled down.  Early today before church we took them out and the results were a little better but they still did not like it much.  After church we came home again brought them outside and this time it was a totally different story they played for a couple of hours and entertained us and the grand kids an nephews and nieces.  We all had a great time playing and loving on the pups and they in turn loved on us.

We've begun feeding the puppies food this week.  They have done very well.  We grind up the puppy food and then add hot water and after a few minutes we let them have at it.  They really like it and I'm sure its good to begin taking some of the pressure off of Mom.  We are feeding them 3 meals a day and they are doing very well with it.
